Our Curriculum
Play Based Learning
Where Play is the Work of Childhood
Play is how young children make sense of the world. At Little Scientists, we use play as a powerful tool for learning, helping children build academic skills, social awareness, and emotional resilience. Whether it’s building with blocks, pretending in a dramatic play center, or conducting a science experiment, every activity is thoughtfully designed to spark imagination and promote meaningful growth.
STEM Learning
Experiment. Explore. Engineer.
Our play-based STEM curriculum invites children to ask questions, test ideas, and explore real-world concepts through joyful learning experiences:
Hands-on science experiments and sensory activities
Technology play with age-appropriate tools and media
Engineering and building challenges using open-ended materials
Math games that promote early numeracy, measurement, and patterning
We nurture problem-solving, critical thinking, and a deep love for discovery.

Social Emotional Learning
Supporting the Whole Child
In a play-based setting, social and emotional growth happens naturally. We support children in learning how to:
Navigate peer interactions and resolve conflicts
Express feelings in healthy, respectful ways
Practice self-regulation, patience, and empathy
Build confidence and independence
Our caring teachers guide children through these essential skills with consistency and compassion.
Real-World Learning
Bringing Concepts to Life Through Play
Whether we’re digging in the garden, exploring shadows with flashlights, or counting leaves on a nature walk, we connect learning to real-world experiences. Our thematic units and project-based activities help children see how what they’re learning in the classroom relates to the world around them.
Classes
Our half-day preschool offers two engaging sessions 5 days/week (MTWThF), 3 days/week (MWF), or 2 days/week (TTh):
Morning Class: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM

We provide a warm, nurturing environment where children learn through active exploration, hands-on discovery, and purposeful play. Our certified educators guide and support each child’s growth, encouraging creativity, curiosity, and confidence.
